AKA: No Second Chances
This is the worst of the worst for launches. 90% of kiters will only do this launch in winter. I strongly suggest you do not launch here.
Between Memorial Day and Labor Day the beach is open to swimmers and closed to all kiters. DO NOT LAUNCH WITH PEOPLE ON THE BEACH.
The beach itself is the size of a postage stamp and isn’t really even sand so much as dirt. There is a road right behind the beach; flagpoles, light-poles, and street-signs everywhere. The northern end has very active (every 20–30 minutes) railroad tracks running by. As it is a smaller, inland lake, it is typically too gusty to be fun or safe.
