Tomorrow is looking pretty good. I'll probably make the trip south to Big Muskego after school. I haven't checked, but I can't imagine that Pike Lake is even close to being open water. We just haven't had enough warm weather to melt that much ice. I should be at Big M about 4.

Right now my biggest kite is a 9m. I may want to borrow/buy another kite. Powerman--is that offer of a loaner still good?

You bet Don.

I've got a 10m Switchblade and a 12m Draft you are welcome to borrow if the 9m doesn't pan out.

I'm targeting around 2:30 or 3 p.m. I'll likely set up the 12 meter and be riding it. Just flag me down when you get there and we can hot swap it in the water. I'll switch to something different or just wrap up my session.

Not looking good for me today, while I have a window from about 1:00-3:00 where I could kite, I am paying for some work I did yesterday to clear the streams flowing into Muskego lakes with a backache today, probably just overdid it. Was in water for hours cutting logs and pulling them out so streams will not flood when spring rains come, guess I'm not as young as I think I am. Don't want to push myself into back issues just as season getting underway.

What a great day on the water. Missed a lot of the locals though...hopefully summer brings some more out of hibernation.

Set up the 10m as it was whitecapping at 2:30pm. Forecast showed building, so gut was 10m. Definitely the right choice. WInds built up to about 3:30 and I'd estimate around 20 knots average till about 5:30, then dropped off as usual.

Stafford and Don showed up around 4pm and we all rode till the wind dropped. Stafford as usual was boosting huge airs and I am really in awe of the Heli-loops that he pulls at the end of the jump. I've been watching and practicing these; a must have for 10m jumps otherwise you overrun your kite and land hard. Again, just in awe of how consistent his timing is with these things.

Don was also riding hard on a 9m kite. Seemed to have plenty of power. Had a beautiful board off with at least two full rotations. It doesn't matter if it was intentional or not :) I hope that I am able to ride that well and hard when I am at that age. Just awesome.

Highlights for me were the beautiful conditions. Just perfectly lit on the 10m, got a little crazy during the gusts but wouldn't have it any other way. Plenty of power and things didn't get super gusty. Everyone got in and out ok and great times riding with friends. Stuck a couple of Railey's, jumped some cattails, walked away worn out. Can't ask for anything else. Hope to see others out there again soon.
