For me it's going to be either Big M or Pike. The snow at Pike was great the last time I was there. How is the snow at Big M? I'll have most of the day to play, and it looks like the wind will be decent all day.

Dalius and I went snowkiting on Big M on Wednesday just before the recent snow.

There was a decent amount of snow although jumping and tacking were hard due to the lack of grip in the base. The snow would just slide off the ice and your board would slip out from underneath if edging too hard. Might be better now with the additional couple of inches?

Looking at bringing the family out snowkiting tomorrow and towing them behind me. Given my recent experience at Big M, I might be heading to Pewaukee because I think they have more snow?

If anyone has a report on Pewaukee or Big Muskego after the snow, please chime in!

Stafford and Brittish Bloke out off Boxhorn yesterday, snow good but Stafford found slush under snow occasionally. I found no slush under snow on Little M, but yes, edging hard with snowboard does slip as snow not stuck to ice. However, enough snow that it can be leveraged to avoid slipping too far.

I found out from one of my students that there is going to be a really large fishing tournament on Pike Lake tomorrow. I'll be at Big M. by late morning.

The snow has compacted a little and is stuck to the ice better now. I didn't slip out on Thursday. I can't say that the ice 100% safe everywhere though. Be careful around the cattail islands, stick more to tracked areas made by snowmobiles etc. If it is more south, we'll have to ride further from the south shore though.

See ya'll out there Saturday.

Pewaukee looks very good; with great snow coverage. I was at the east end of the lake where snow fences are in place but that doesn't effect anything; except finding a path to the lake from the beach. It would be primo for opening a can of whoop arse, or something.

Yes, Stafford and I were at Big M yesterday (Thursday) around noon. In most places the snow was deep enough (a few icy and slushy patches but not much). Wind was decent enough - I had a 15.5 up and that was plenty to ride most of the time and get a little air. Looks like it will be more windy tomorrow than it was yesterday.

I plan to head out again tomorrow, arriving by 10am! Hope to see some lads there.

Great day at home on Little M in my back yard today, wind a little more variable than normal for SW, think there was a tad too much west in it but I am not complaining. After a great session, had Bonnie join me and she had a blast 8m with snowboard. Expect Boxhorn was a blast, sorry I missed it but eager to get to Basses Bay for dinner before it gets too busy.

Best day of the year on Little Hat. British Ryan, Hainey, Carpenter, Don, Dalius, Abraham, Erika, Steve E., and Casey all got to ride. Erika and Ryan's kids got towed around. Griffin chased kites, and motorcycles raced a plowed track with studded tires.
