Saturday 7/20

Postby dmonn » Sat Jul 20, 2019 10:10 am

Yesterday Pike was fun. My 17 worked pretty well because it has such a huge range. Gusts were probably a little over 20, but glad to have the big kite in the lulls.

Right now Sheboygan looks great. South at 22. I can't leave until afternoon and then it's questionable for me. I hope someone gets some today.

Windsurfed (pole-boarded in Don lingo) today as wind so variable and storm so unpredictable. It helps to be ambidextrous... ;)

Was out doing lessons Thursday and Friday. Danielle was making 30 yard water starts after 2 hours of lessons. That is incredible. The next Aaron Hadlow I think, or female version.

FYI everyone. Sheboygan kite beach is in a rough state. The last storms washed all kinds of concrete in our usual launch. You can still kite but be very careful. Also water turned over and was about 55 degrees Friday.
