Could be a good late-afternoon/early evening. Direction would make Pike a good choice along with other inland lakes. I'll probably be at Pike by 3:30 if the forecast holds true. Time to shake the dust off my little kite. With a SW wind it tends to be very gusty. If you catch the gust wrong, you get a nothing jump. If you catch the gust right, you get an extra boost. Beginners: If you jump way high with a little kite, you'll come down pretty hard. One way to soften the landing is to work the kite back and forth while descending. Plenty of other suggestions, too, but that one might prevent a hard landing.

SW is as good as it gets at home, kite & windsurf boardshorts late Sept, nice!!
