NW is the most gusty direction for the swamp. If you don't mind that, it should be fine.

I am looking to get out tomorrow. If the wind shifts onshore enough I might consider SSYC but if not it'll likely be the swamp at some point in the afternoon. Stafford I will text you if/when I am heading down.

Pike is pretty good on a NNW. Probably about the same gustiness as the swamp, but with fewer weeds. Stafford, are they still up enough to be a problem with relaunching? SSYC is not very good on a NNW. You need almost a due north wind or east of that to make it work. If the weeds aren't a problem any more at Big M, that's probably as good as Pike in terms of gustiness, and you can always find someplace where the water is glassy. Pike gets the nod from me on the other amenities--rigging, parking, launching, landing, water quality, lack of boaters, etc.

That said, I'd love to get to SSYC for a good flat water session. Check the sewer district website for sewer overflow from the rain we're getting before deciding to go there. SSYC is not a great place if there's been a release.

Yes, 'Bagle' is Windy-bago. Enjoy the wind, we are on the way to Hatteras for the next week with the WAK crew, so it will be windy here, not there. You are welcome. I have a plan though, bringing along my bungee setup so if the wind does not cooperate, bungee-foiling is on the agenda... In any event, squeeze out a little more boardshorts conditions.

Powerman, you still thinking of flying out?? Have some Eagle Park milkshake sours along....

Winnebago looks like it might be the best spot today (and I heard that pesky tree is gone)! Anyone else heading that way?

I think yes to the bagel - depends on when I can leave work.

Madison looks promising as well - it appears the rain is already cleared there...i worry the rain may drag on at the bagel a bit more as it is farther east.

Both Madison and Winnebago work the best IMO on N to NW. I would rate these as "great" spots.

Pike is "good", Muskego is "OK" and SSYC "sucks" on N to NW.

I'm not a fan of Winnebago. I don't know why. Maybe it's the awkward in and out of the water that I dislike, or maybe the water quality. Sometimes the chop can be fun, but usually I find it less fun. I know a lot of guys love it when it's up, and it looks good right now. I'm kind of drawn to Pike 'cause it's so familiar, plus the other amenities.

If you plan to head for Pike, let me know. The weather isn't real welcoming, but if somebody else is headed to Pike, I'll go there too.

Just arrived at Winnebago and it’s Blowing! Going with the 13m but this might even be 9m wether right now! Surprisingly no one else is out here yet but I’m gonna suit up and get in the water shortly.

On my way to Winnebago. Should be there in about 15 minutes. There is still a very light rain, but very strong wind.

Winnebago was nuking. I started out a little light on a 7 m and about 15 minutes in all clouds cleared and it picked up to mid 20s. I was on a large surfboard and had a blast. The wind was just about directly on shore so you could surf the waves in both directions and barely lose any ground down wind. One of my best sessions at Winnebago.

Pike was garbage. Short periods of gust followed by almost nothing. Could barely keep 12m Soul in sky- tumbled & inverted several times. Lots of untangling lines today.
Sorry Don I should have checked your post, so I guess I saved you wasting your time too.
Glad you guys had fun in Winnebago- wish I had time to get there.
